Issue No. 01 · A publication for firm operators

For the people quietly building the next generation of accounting and advisory firms.

Practice Insider is the independent publication, review desk and operator community for ambitious firm leaders.

Read by operators at growing accounting & advisory firms
Independent — no vendor sponsorships
Founded by practitioners, for practitioners
What this is

Practice Insider exists for a specific reader: the person actually running a modern accounting or advisory firm.

Not the marketing department. Not the conference circuit. Not the loudest voice on social media. The principal, partner or operator inside the firm who carries the weight of decisions about pricing, capacity, technology, hiring, and what the next decade of the profession is going to look like.

We publish considered insight, independent reviews of the systems firms rely on, and a small calendar of curated events — and around all of that we are quietly building a vetted community of operators who take this work seriously.

The four pillars

A focused publication, organised around four operator concerns.

No content treadmill. Each pillar exists because firm operators told us it mattered — and because there isn't a credible, independent voice already covering it.

01

Insight

Long-form analysis, operator playbooks, and field reporting on how modern firms are actually being built.

02

Reviews

Independent, plain-spoken reviews of the tools, systems, and partners that firm operators rely on every week.

03

Events

Curated, low-noise events — small rooms, working sessions, and gatherings built around real operating problems.

04

Community

A vetted circle of accounting and advisory operators thinking seriously about the next decade of the profession.

The community

A small, vetted circle of operators thinking seriously about the future of the profession.

Practice Insider's community is intentionally curated. It is not a public network, not a forum, and not a directory. It exists to give serious operators a quieter room to compare notes, pressure-test decisions, and stay close to what is genuinely working inside other firms.

How it works
  • 01Apply with a short note about your firm and what you're working on.
  • 02We review every application individually — fit matters more than scale.
  • 03Accepted members get private briefings, working sessions, and event access.

The founder

Practice Insider is led by Mehmood Rajoka.

Mehmood has spent his career inside accounting and advisory firms — building, advising, and watching closely as the profession reshapes itself. Practice Insider exists because the publication he wanted to read for firm operators didn't yet exist.

The work is independent, founder-led, and deliberately quiet. The editorial line is simple: take operators seriously, write things worth their time, and never confuse volume with value.
