Profiles are criteria-gated, not pay-to-play. These are the criteria in full, and how every entry is verified. Practitioners are profiled, never scored. Inclusion is the status, and no firm is compared to another.
Independent UK practice
An independent UK accounting or advisory practice, not a network subsidiary, a franchise operation, or a vendor's services arm.
Three years trading
A minimum of three years in practice, confirmed against the Companies House record.
Qualified professionals
At least one qualified professional in the firm, checked against the relevant professional body's records.
Verified in conversation
Every entry is confirmed through a direct conversation with Practice Insider. No profile is compiled from public data alone.
Cross-checked records
Details are cross-checked against Companies House and professional body records before anything is published.
Nomination or invitation
Entry is by nomination or editorial invitation, judged against these criteria. There is no fee and no way to buy inclusion.
How verification works.
Every practice in Profiles has been spoken to directly. The conversation establishes who runs the firm, how it operates, and whether the criteria are genuinely met, then the record is cross-checked against Companies House and the relevant professional body before anything is written.
Profiles are written by Practice Insider and approved by the firm before they go live. Nothing is published without the subject's sign-off. Revenue and contact details are collected for verification only and are never published.
Profiles carries no rankings, no scores, and no league table. People are profiled, not scored. No firm is compared to, ranked against, or scored relative to another, being in Profiles is the whole of the signal.
Practice Insider is independently owned, founded and edited by Abdur Rehman. It is tied to no vendor and no software business. Practice Insider takes no vendor sponsorship for editorial coverage, no affiliate revenue, and does not endorse any product.
